This Human Bioscience degree combines academic theory with practical work. You will develop a broader understanding of human biology and its importance in today's world - and how to apply that knowledge to the workplace.
It studies the functioning of a person and his or her situation, the causes of abuse, and the consequences of one's actions. Typical study areas include human physiology, cells and molecules, human neuroscience, and infectious and non-infectious organisms. In our specialized laboratories, we will train you on the various scientific techniques used to study human biology.
Group study brings collaborative and communication skills, and in your final year you will have the opportunity to focus on and develop your academic interests through independent laboratory research or dissertation.
The degree will also present you in a professional manner and upon graduation, you will have access to the education and experience section of the Royal Society of Biology and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).
