Overview
The University for the Creative Arts is an expert workmanship and plan college in the south of England.
It was framed in 2005 as University College for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone, and Rochester when the Kent Institute of Art and Design was converged into the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, which previously had degree-granting status; both constituent schools had been shaped by consolidating the neighborhood craftsmanship schools, in Kent and Surrey individually. It was allowed college status in 2008, and the name changed to the current one. In 2016 it converged with the Open College of the Arts
UCA has grounds in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, and Rochester, along with showing bases at the Royal School of Needlework and The Maidstone Studios, and an undertaking and presentation space in Folkestone Creative Quarter. It recently had grounds in Maidstone, which was shut in 2014.
The college likewise approves arrangement at, or co-conveys courses with, various other instructive establishments and expressions associations in the UK and abroad: Farnham Maltings, Laine Theater Arts, London School of Design and Marketing, Millennium Performing Arts, Turner Contemporary, and MIT Institute of Design.
On 1 November 2016, the Open College of the Arts turned out to be important for UCA. This is based on a nearby working relationship set up in 2010.
