This course is best suited to information systems and information technology professionals who want to hone their skills in the management and effective application of information systems and technology in global business environments. The degree was made in consultation with our industry advisory board, consisting of representatives from a variety of sector-leading enterprises and have strong professional links with our highly qualified faculty members. This course amalgamates theory, research and practice, and introduces a range of new concepts, methods and technologies. At the end of the course, you can choose to specialise in information systems management, information systems security or business technology. Through this course, you can get an opportunity to work on a project for an industry client, past examples including CSIRO, Zoodata and Web Key IT. You can also attend lectures given by representatives from renowned IT companies, such as Microsoft and BlockBoxx. You can even go on to obtain a PhD with permanent residency in Australia.
Note: This major varies from the Master of Commerce (Information Systems and Technology), which is more suitable for graduates without an IT degree and lasts for six months less than full time duration.
