Financial institutions rely on a combination of statistics, technology and finance to expand and strengthen their competitive edge. The MSc is jointly run by the School of Mathematical Science and the School of Visual Engineering and Computer Science. You will study the range of modules provided by the School of Mathematical Sciences and the School of Electrical and Computer Science. Your mathematical modules will provide a solid understanding of the financial principles of mathematics, while the modules provided within the School of Electrical and Computer Science will focus on key aspects of technology.
For your dissertation you will select a standard research topic from a financial computer to evaluate it independently. You will criticize the results in the latest magazine articles and you may not use a quality code.
