Course Details

Our immensely practical Gemology and Jewelry Studies degree offers an advent to gemological theory and testing, diamond grading and jewelry valuation.

With our fully-geared up gem labs at your disposal, you’ll be able to perform a variety of preferred and superior gemological assessments used inside the identification of gemstones.

You’ll have the threat to place gem materials beneath the microscope, from herbal and artificial gemstones thru to imitation. There will also be a threat to research complementary capabilities which includes photography.

You’ll examine at our brand new purpose-built facilities at the Assay Office, only some minutes’ stroll from the School of Jewelry and in the coronary heart of Birmingham’s well-known Jewelry Quarter, where much of today’s jewelry is produced and manufactured.
