Course Details

Essex MA film studies courses focus primarily on overseas, alternative, and literary films, while also providing a solid foundation on important aspects of film history and perspective, including Hollywood. This critical examination of such genres gives you a solid understanding of what makes a film work, giving you the ability to improve your production skills on camerawork, editing, lighting, screenwriting and production management. You also benefit from a series of excellent titles created by invited industry professionals who specialize in the art of making movies: improving your technical understanding of cinematography, directing and editing / casting.
