This course at MMU covers all aspects of psychology, from childhood, neuropsychology, and forensic to counseling, psychotherapy, and rare psychology. Psychologists study behavior using scientific methods such as observing, analyzing and analyzing statistics. In this course, you may be doing experiments, being put on a humorous trial giving evidence to a patient, arguing with other students about how we encourage people to choose healthy food, or to watch a game played in our living space created there. We support our students to develop their natural curiosity, creating psychology degrees equipped to explore the human experience in an ethical, empathetic and scientific manner. Other topics to study include the impact of biology and genetics on behavior, cognition and memory, diagnosing and treating mental illness, and behavioral problems that work and work with children. You will read the basic content of the British Psychological Society (BPS), including ideas from Freud, Piaget, and Kohlberg. Our psychology courses are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which has put the Department of Psychology at the Manchester Met as prominent.
