Students of Actuarial Science at Heriot-Watt can use our global campuses by participating in the Inter-Campus Transfer. This gives you the opportunity to study at our Malaysian college semester or year, while still benefiting from the same (IFA) accreditation as in Edinburgh, and the opportunity to get the same technical release.

This program also offers the opportunity for industrialization throughout the year or year of study abroad in Canada or Australia. If you are already a student of Actuarial Science at Heriot-Watt, you can apply to join the PwC Actuarial Flying Start Program which includes two six-month, paid, and PwC work. It is a perfect way to gain valuable experience in the industry during your time at university. If successful, you will join the PwC actuarial team in London and work directly with their clients - helping them plan uncertainties and identify, evaluate and manage their risks. They are well-known for the excellent training that they provide to graduates, and if you do well, you may be able to find a job after graduation. Most Students ’Actuarial Society is fully staffed, enthusiastically and professionally, by Actuarial Science students. With more than 250 members, it is one of the largest communities dedicated to actuary studies in the UK. Regular conferences, professional development and social media events keep members up-to-date and in a good position to start their careers.
