The Edith Cowan University degree in law is the first statistic you need to make as a lawyer in Australia. It can lead to acceptance in the legal profession, which allows you to give legal advice, do legal work and appear in court as a lawyer. Curtin's law degree provides a foundation in the important areas of legal knowledge. You will develop the basic skills essential for effective legal practice and gain a high level of commercial awareness. In Australia, you will benefit greatly from the relationships you build with professional members and the proximity of the Supreme Court, the District Court and the Financial Court, located near the Curtin Law School in Perth city.
Bachelor of Laws courses are offered through a combination of semesters and can be completed in four years, full time students graduate. You will complete your studies completely on our campus in Joondalup in semester format while your second and third years will be studied at our Perth location. If you choose to study four units for each study period, you can only graduate in three calendar years. The Bachelor of Laws offers a degree in law and teaches students to tackle the challenges of a multidisciplinary, complex and technological career. Provides rigorous and sound legal education that develops and develops legal knowledge and a wide range of skills required for legal practice; to develop respect for the Rule of Law and to uphold good ethics and commitment.
Potential jobs exist in private practice, corporate practice and in-house government. Involvement planning, government policy, politics, journalism, creative writing and many other works that rely on excellent written and oral communication skills, writing and analytical skills are also ways of accepting the degree. Graduates in Law can find work in the areas used by Lawyer, Barrister, Solicitor, Legal Practitioner, Courts Administrator, Civil Service Administrator, Tax Assessor, Housing and Community Advisor, Legal, Foreign & Commercial Publisher.
