Psychology is a subculture in the field of Social Science. By studying Bachelors of Psychology program at University of Essex, you will learn all about all aspects related to the human psyche and how people are influenced by society, culture and the challenges of the moment. You will explore a variety of topics, trying to answer questions such as: Is the brain simply a brain disorder? Is behavior learned or died? What kind of person recognition? How can people change their performance by finding out for themselves? The Psychology field can help you understand the broader range of human behavior and the many pathways that mental health problems face. Psychology students will combine theoretical classes and practical work experience with case studies on issues such as trauma, mental disorders, addiction, child development, and current therapies, among others.
Psychologists conduct scientific research to try to explain and predict how humans work. It is the study of our mind and body, our thoughts and behavior, our feelings and our thoughts. Essex conduct experiments to investigate how people develop throughout childhood, how they acquire language, and behavioral changes that may result from brain damage, disease, or health experience. In the process you learn, research and research why we think, feel and act the way we do. It covers important areas of psychology including: Recovery and Cognition, Learning and Memory, Clinical psychology, Personality and Individual Differences in Social and Health Psychology.
