Course Details

International Relations is classified in the field of Social Sciences. It connects to many other subjects, including politics, history, languages, economics, philosophy, theology, business and law. People involved in international relations analyze global problems, such as poverty, human rights, ethics, and try to find solutions based on the research of different provisions. During the course, international relations students were taught about the effects of patriotism and global policies. They also discovered how political systems interact with each other and how their impact is global. It is no accident that many international lawyers, ambassadors, and presidents have studied university degrees in International Relations.

The Bachelor of International Study from the University of Wollongong focuses on understanding your place in national and international political systems, as well as appreciating the historical origins of global politics. Most of the graduates are advancing careers in international organizations and businesses that are focused on the Australian border. While in Australia this Bachelor of International Study examines the relationships of politics, society, culture, language and history to different national structures. It will analyze global and current issues, looking at how global forces and increasing communications are influencing domestic politics. You will also be encouraged to travel to another country or to study travel.

You will also learn how national interests affect decisions related to international affairs. This is closely linked to the relationship between multinational companies and government. Other skills you develop are communication, negotiation, research and problem solving. This would be appropriate if you were to be an ambassador, and would reach a mutually beneficial agreement between the nations. Also, you will be creating a path for future work in International Politics, International Business, International diplomacy, or International Law. Bachelor's degree graduates in International Relations receive jobs as: political policy officer, career officer, intelligence analyst and public relations adviser.
