Bachelor of Film and Drama - BA

A Film and Drama Course at the University of Essex is ideal for creative genres. Upon graduation you will be ready to enter the world of cinema, stage and behind the scenes - and a range of other art, media, education and creative industries. We don't stop there, we make sure you know the theater talk and screen teaching too. She studies themes in drama such as gender, identity, tragedy, human rights, composing and writing. Your film modules explore direction, screenwriting, ancient and modern texts and many aspects of screen media, from cinema to social media.

You also gain skills in professional theater and film production, such as acting and stage management, camerawork, editing and film production. You will still write articles like any other Humanities degree, but along with your appreciation and critical thinking, you will also have the opportunity to be tested for your intelligence, performance and technical skills.
