Petroleum engineers work in a variety of industries, most commonly related to exploration, mining, manufacturing, delivery and subsea processing. These fossil fuels are found in the world's oils and oils, but can also include extraction from sand and shales. Petroleum engineering course provides the basics for qualified engineering work in the gas and oil industry, both in International and also Australia. As well as Edith Cowan University which offers mechanical and chemical engineering skills, this course provides specialized knowledge in mining, storage and petroleum engineering.
In Australia, the program focuses on the development of knowledge and skills relevant to professional engineering practice and the foundation of theoretical concept, including solid materials for practical problem solving, team work and project design. As a result, graduate students will acquire critical analytical skills, and have the ability to lead complex projects and have a wide range of technical and transfer skills. The Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering) Honor Course offers a sound foundation in chemistry, mathematics, and engineering design principles in the first two years of study, as well as basic areas of engineering science including chemistry and materials science, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. For the last two years of study, a range of specialized petroleum engineering topics is compiled to prepare students to enter their chosen profession with appropriate knowledge and skills.
The first year of this course includes a set of eight standard units in all engineering honors courses. This allows students the opportunity to develop a well understanding of the several engineering methods offered and the flexibility, if desired, to transition to another engineering course free of exempt after the first year of study. Petroleum Engineers work in various fields related to exploration, mining and mining, development and operation of manufacturing and distribution of crude and processed products as well as downstream processing of electrical products. Graduate students in Petroleum Engineering can work in Petroleum Engineer, Oil & Gas Engineer, Engine Inspector, Miles Design Center, Design Engineer, Pipe Engine, Cooling Engineer, production Engineer.
