Construction and Management Engineering works on building, structure and maintaining the infrastructure we rely on a daily basis: buildings, roads, bridges, water and power systems, pollution networks, and many more. People working in Civil Engineering & Construction need to change systems and structures and find solutions to complex problems such as population crashes or natural disasters. During your Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, you will learn how to follow building safety standards and building rules. You will learn how to manage construction projects, do all the calculations and make adjustments where necessary. Some important building things to keep in mind are: environmental impact, durability, and use of the right materials for the projects you will be working on.
This course is designed to provide a foundation for education to become professionally recognized as a collaborative developer. The course covers a broad range of civil engineers including general courses such as Analysis and Construction, Hydraulics, Geo technology, and materials, as well as calculators, as well as specialized courses such as Stability, Environmental Engineering, and Fire Engineering. The course is scheduled to provide the BEng (Hons) award after three years, with the opportunity to advance to the fourth year and receive the Meng Award. An optional Sandwich placement year is set between levels 5 and 6. The Master's year will provide a wide range, as well as a detailed understanding of the subject. The program is offered in conjunction with the internationally acclaimed BRE, giving you access to specialized facilities, projects and lectures. Civil engineers will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and experience to start a career with a variety of businesses, as well as small projects with project management companies, service companies and the public sector.
