It explores the ways of ideas and sharpening ideas in politics and society, as well as the impact of these on our daily lives. The divergent approach encourages you to look at the world in a variety of political and social contexts. It allows you to think critically about modern society in the UK and beyond. It also encourages you to explore the sub-fields such as gender and sexuality, race and difference, international relations, international political economy, social and cultural relations, and international development. It provides an important dimension of connectivity, linking ethical questions with the provision of social goods such as welfare or security and the needs of existing social movements and policy organizations.
