BA (Hons) Film Studies

QMUL’s Film Study and UK degree help you further understand the film within the context of the wider languages and culture. No prior information is required. The Film Study broadens understanding of visual aesthetics and leads students to various learning areas such as history, politics, philosophy, technology and practice. You will study the history and concept of cinema and get a chance to write your own film script. Learning different languages means engaging deeply and learning a new language, which you will learn in conjunction with an examination of different cultures, society and history. It will develop a sophisticated understanding of how to think and feel, as well as cultural references that shape their identities.
