BA Criminology offers exciting opportunities for students to study cross-disciplinary discipline in the vibrant city of Manchester. It is intended for students who want to study crime with a critical perspective to investigate the causes, patterns, consequences and responses of crime in a social context.
The first year at MMU introduces students to the building blocks of crime: key concepts and concepts that define crime, the key institutions of the criminal justice system, criminal policy, law and practice. Students will receive training in a variety of research methods during the first two years and are equipped to carry out their independent project in the final year.
MMU’s main disciplinary department believes in providing students with an extensive option to study specific areas of crime in depth. Throughout this degree, the focus is on developing the skills and knowledge that occur in relevant professions, including work experience, study abroad programs and independent project work. If students wish, you can learn another language as part of their degree.
